Iain is too funny sometimes. I gave him his morning snack (Cheerios) in his no-spill bowl like always and he went behind the recliner to eat them, which he does sometimes. I thought nothing of it…other than he was rather quiet…usually he runs around during snack time…eat one piece…run around…eat another…run around…etc. This time, however, he was just sitting quietly…and then…I started to hear an odd sound “tink tink tink, tink tink tink” so…I looked to see what he was doing…and he was dropping handfuls of his Cheerios down the heating vents in the floor. I tried to get him to stop…but the only thing that worked was taking them away…not like he was eating them anyway. Now…whenever he finds a cheerio (he has a tendency to throw them around during his snack time…and did it this morning and I haven’t cleaned yet) he runs over to the vent and drops them through the slots. He does it so seriously, too. Silliness. I don’t know how to get the vent out of the floor or I’d vacuum it out…guess that will have to wait till Jim gets home from work. Till then…I guess we will have Cheerios cooking in the floor. Haha.
LOL — that is hilarious!
Instead of vents we have dogs … The Lentil feeds anything she doesn’t want or finds to the dogs … LOL
Iain loves to feed our dog anything he doesn’t want when he’s in his high chair…he actually does it when we go to like Jim’s parents and such…throws what he doesn’t want on the floor and then waits for the dog to come…problem being…they don’t have a dog…haha. It can be a little embarrassing when we are in a restaurant though…when he starts throwing food on the floor and happily looks for a dog to come (luckily…we’re the only ones who know he’s doing that!).
Snack is different though…even if Tika’s right there…he would much rather shove the food into MY mouth…he gets a real kick out of that! Which is funny when it’s dry cheerios…and disgusting when they are soggy. He has a tendency to pre-chew some of them…sticks them in his mouth for a bit…then takes them out and tries to shove them in my mouth. Loveliness. He saw me eat a cheerio once and since it’s been the funniest thing! I don’t honestly know where the idea to shove them down the vents came from but…boy does he think it’s fun!
