Ever notice how babies only do things when you DON’T have a camera? And then when you DO have a camera…they act like they’ve never done said thing in their lives? Haha. Well…Jim and I spent about half an hour last night trying to get Iain to walk as well as he had ALL day and ALL the day before but…alas…he wouldn’t…and then the camera ran out of batteries…and he started doing it again. It’s like he knows! Haha. Anyway…here are a couple cute videos…he can do much better than this and I’m sure eventually we’ll get it on video but…for now…this will have to do…

He’s still sick with a cold…loveliness…sliminess. It’s funny how, when babies have colds, everything in the house feels ickier. This is our first experience and…though it’s not too bad (Iain still sleeps through the night and takes his naps…eventually…just takes longer than usual to get him there…much crying and screaming and unhappiness ensues the second he gets the slightest bit tired)…I think when he’s better I’m going to end up having to launder all the pillows…furniture coverings and wash the carpets (not to mention ALL of his toys…but that’s to be expected). He “runs” away from the tissue…and whipes his nose on EVERYTHING else…including us. Yay. Haha. It’s disgusting but…at least he hasn’t run a temperature or had an ear infection (*knock on wood*). That’s what I really care about!
We have started work on the house again after about a week off…because we needed it! We’ve been going pretty much straight since we moved in. We worked some on Iain’s room (the curtains my mother made are hung!!!) and started painting the inside of the garage (it’s dark “wood” paneling and I know it’s SOOOO wrong to paint paneling but…for now…it’s WAYYY cheaper than replacing it with sheetrock so…painting it is. It soooo needs to be brightened up in there. I know…it’s just a garage but…Jim’s working on cars on the side and needs a happy place to work on them). I took a picture of Iain’s curtains in place (just one of the two windows)…here they are…
